Biography :
He was born in 1969 (1348) in Tehran in an open-minded family. In 1986 (1365) he moved to Hamburg (Germany) & stayed there until 1993, & then one year in England. He started music in 1989 (1368). It was in Hamburg at the age of 20 when he got his first bass. Three weeks after his first experience with the instrument, He joined a high school band. Eventually, he gathered experience while playing & performing with local Hard Rock & Heavy Metal bands. In 1991, he co-founded the band Trial & Error along with Uli Schulz & Dirk Wolf on guitar & vocals & Karsten Nogel on drums.
In 1993, he came back to Iran & then he is doing professional career. Since then, he has played with many singers & composers. His work includes studios recording, live performances with the most famous Iranian artists . The highlights of babak's career include playing & performing along side Googoosh ( the Iranian diva) , Mohammad Nori & O-hum …
As a bass player & songwriter, his influences are mainly bassist.
He first started writing with his band Trial & Error in Germany, The "Trial ,Error" & "Black & White" are from that era. He also written & co-written songs with his former band Avizheh, which played a mixture of traditional Iranian music with Pop & Jazz.
He doesn’t care much about a certain style. He usually plays & writes whatever he feels like at the time, or in his own words:
“ I go with the flow & my music is a reflection of what I feel at the present time.
Song Writing :
Because he is a bass player; as a songwriter , his influences are mainly bassists. He is affected by musician such Jaco Pastorius, Jonas Helbourg, Stanley Clarke & many more musicians that he has learned too many things from them.
He started songwriting when he was in Germany & plays bass in a group in styles of Rock'n'roll & Heavy Metal. He also wrote songs for groups like Avizheh & his own group.
The material of songwriting for him is related to present time. It seems that he want to live in present time. He doesn't like to live in past or think about future. At the time that a song is created ; naturally an emotion is expressed that can be figured out , like happiness, sadness, love or ...

"I don't affected by a specific kind of music, each kind of music if performed well can be bearable & delightful. I'm a bass player & playing bass finds it's meaning with playing with a band.
I consider myself as a Rock musician who is open to all styles of music like Funk, Rock, Pop.
When I interchange my energy with others, I feel relaxed.
I'm a rock musician and my preferred styles of music are Funk , Rock & Heavy Metal."
